“Square Mileage” is an invitational gallery show showcasing 50 South Dakota artists across many disciplines. Every artist made a new piece within the dimensions of one square foot. Each artwork represented an answer to the question “What does South Dakota mean to you?” Money raised during the event will be donated to The Oscar Howe Summer Arts Institute, an annual art camp hosted every summer at USD for high school students who want to pursue art and connect to the legacy of Plains Indian artist, Oscar Howe.
